4th graders practice their listening skills

After the primary school workshop I conducted, Mr. Sama, the 4th grade English teacher at Meynaa School, designed a listening skills lesson plan.

One part of the lesson plan, Mr. Sama described an island to the students in his class.

Following the auditory only description, Mr. Sama's students were then asked to remember what he'd described and to draw it.

This lesson involved describing a house with trees around it, windows, doors, a lake in front, etc.

Mr. Sama noted to me that this is the kind of activity he can use frequently in his classroom.... slowly over time, adding more and more details for his students to remember and illustrate.

For me as the workshop facilitator, it is great to see that what I presented was useful and is being put into practice in the classroom.
