Strange..... but true!

Okay.... so here I am for two months, on this absolutely beautiful tropical island in the middle of the Indian Ocean......

I am surrounded by hundreds, if not thousands of kilometers of the most exquisitely beautiful blue turquois  water you can ever imagine!

And do you know what?  I don't even like to swim!  Weird huh.......

My new living quarters on Holhudhoo Island

Here's my new living quarters.  A nice house, with three separate bedrooms.  To one side of the house, is a UNDP funded greenhouse.  Drip irrigation is used to grow eggplants and chilis.  This is one part of a larger UNDP program, which includes family level hydropanics.

The chili and eggplants inside the greenhouse are flourishing!  So green.... so healthy!  Won't belong before the community will benefit from the locally grown produce.

Here's my new room in the guest house.  It does not have a/c like my former room, but it is very large and bright.

I have my own private attached bathroom.... no hot water, but in this climate, a cool shower is most welcome!

Holhudhoo Full Moon Party!

The evening was cool, the full moon was slowl rising over the island of Holhudhoo, so what better time to strole along the beach and enjoy Mother Nature's display!

The moon, as it peaked in and out of the clouds, was a hauntingly beautiful sight.

Okay.... the peaceful watching of the full moon rise over the islands in the Maldives is perhaps a very different experience from the wild full moon party on Koh Phangan in Thailand!
